DEM TOO WICKED!!!, he thundered. There was something about the sheer emotion empowering these words that somehow caught my attention.
Listening as the discussions continued I overheard what was at the heart of the comment. “Dem thief the crop is bad and not too bad, he continued, but dem tek the head too. That takes away any chance I had at producing this crop again”.
Instantly the scripture as seen in John 10 verse 10 drifted to my thoughts. It is a scripture that people often recite but do we truly believe what it says?
Dear friend might I suggest that if we did believe that ‘the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, then we would put the necessary provisions in place to ensure that he could not steal our “head.”
As the farmer rightly said, if the head is stolen then the thief has stolen our chances of producing Godly fruit.
Let us therefore commit to praying for and covering our heads daily be they:
Heads of households (husbands,fathers).
Heads of our churches,(pastors,elders, deacons)
Heads of state/government and also
Heads of households (husbands,fathers).
Heads of our churches,(pastors,elders, deacons)
Heads of state/government and also
Heads in training (our sons).
LORD we pray even now that you would cover our heads from any and every attack of the enemy. Father whatever affects the head affects the rest of the body and so Lord we present them to you and ask that you build a hedge of protection round about them in Jesus’ name we pray AMEN.
