VALUED

VALUEMy dream unfolded in what appeared to be a police station setting. I observed workers frantically looking for and enquiring about the whereabouts of a box of evidence that had been left on a desk. I watched as a coworker casually motioned in the direction of a  garbage dump.

The investigator knowing the value of the items the box contained moved hurriedly towards the dump area to try to retrieve the discarded box.

From the appearance of box it was easy to understand why the cleaner thought that it contained junk.   The box had seemingly succumbed to the wear and tear of handling and had become defaced over time so much so that it belied the value of its contents.

The scenery seemed so similar to real life situations … You know… the ones where persons may discard others who have become bruised by the vicissitudes of life.  Those that have been labeled “not worthy.”

Thanks be to God that He who knows our value and our worth would reach out to take hold of us, and call us valuable.  One person who caught the revelation of how God sees and values people is King David.

Let us listen in to how King David describes his revelation Psalms 139:13-18 TPT reads: You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb.  I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord!  You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day,
the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.  Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider
that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.

It’s beautiful imagery isn’t it,  well, “guess what friends?”…….The essential meaning of this passage was not exclusive to King David.  No!! it was not.  This is exactly how God sees and values each and every one of us.

Please catch the revelation wont you…

My friend you are VALUED.
